What to consider
- Fabric sofas breathe and cost less. Leather and half-leather wipe clean and cope well with pets or kids.
- L-shape and corner sofas make the most of a room's footprint. Measure your doorway and lift access before you commit to a big piece.
- Reclining sofas need a little clearance behind the backrest to open all the way.
